The 6.0l goats weigh 3725 lbs, so their power/weight ratio should be about 9.31lb/HP. You can figure out what yours is based on what G you have.

Ummm.....the GM makes a pretty dang quick automatic. There is no difference in the 1/4 mile between an auto Vette and a 6MT Vette and it's been that way since 1992. Often times the autos are quicker just because they're easier to launch. Same goes for the 05+ LS2 400hp GTO. The LS2 GTO autos are actually quicker than they're 04+ 6MT counterparts. Add a higher stall TC and they're a lot quicker. The new 6AT C6 is a bit quicker than the 6MT C6. Add a higher stall TC, gears, and slicks to the 6AT C6 is you're talking about going from upper 12s to lower 12s. 6MT C6s can't claim the same feat on slicks and gears. Same goes for the auto 911TT. Being able to build boost prior to launch and having no boost loss between shifts means a quicker car.

As for this race, chances are this was a LS1 GTO auto which means it is a lower 14 second car. There's a BIG difference between the performance of the LS1 GTO and the LS2 GTO. On paper it's only 50hp, but in the real world and under the clocks, it's about .7 seconds. A 6MT GTO or an LS2 GTO should run down a stock or mostly stock G35. That is assuming they both leave at the EXACT moment. If the other driver has a .5 second delayed reaction, you're going to see a mid 13 second car get walked by a lower 14 second car. I wish people would understand this.
