Bad Dealer Experience..need suggestion on what to do

I picked up my G sedan back in July. The deal was great and I'm happy with the car. Couple of weeks after I got the car, I had a call from the dealer saying that the VIN on the paperwork was incorrect. I had to go in and sign new paperwork. My compensation was a tank of gas. Another week later, they call me to tell me that they forgot some more paperwork and sent it to me with return mailing envelope for courier. Ugh. At this point, I'm annoyed. Sign more stupid papers and sent it off.

A month later, I got the freakin plates and registration still had incorrect VIN. I call dealer to tell them this and was asked to come in and complete another paperwork and return stupid plate w/ registration. I'm beyond annoyed now. They now this and offer tank of gas plus a free oil change.

Here we are four months later, still no plates and dealer yet again contacts me to sign more paper. They send me two cards for free oil change. I'm super pissed. Ready to rip someone a new a**h*le. Called to speak to GM of dealership and was told that he was unavailable and would call me back. Never heard from the dude.

I NEED to be compensated for all this baloney. I want to ask for a NAVI since I don't have one but was told that they probably won't give that to me since it requires a lot of work. Another thought was asking for SAT radio. What is reasonable to ask for in my situation? If you were in my shoes, what would you do? I feel like the stupid oil changes are a slap in the face cuz I know it doesn't cost the dealer much to comp oil changes.

Uh, yeah. If I were in your shoes I'd be glad I got free tanks of gas and oil changes. Yeah it's inconvenient, but not as if they gave you a damaged car or were maliciously doing this.

Are you 100 miles away from them or something? I doubt it since you're in LA and there are dealerships all over. I had to take my 350Z back to the dealership a few times for some small stuff that was there when I bought the car and wasn't comped anything. Your comment about the cost of hte oil changes is correct in that they don't cost them much, but are valuable to you, that's why they are the perfect bargaining tool. No way you will see NAVI, I'd just like to hear the conversation.

Suck it up and take the nice things they've given is my $0.02. The world does not exist to keep us from having any inconveniences in life. A little paperwork confusion ranks WAY down the list.

^^^ I agree. I doubt you will be able to get much more than that out of the dealership directly. As much as it has been an inconvenience to you, at least it wasn't you car!

If you still feel strongly. I would say to write a letter directly to Infiniti:

Infiniti Consumer Affairs
P.O. Box 685003
Franklin TN 37068-5003

With large corporations like these, they are obligated to investigate the complaint with the dealership directly. As most of these luxury automakers pride themselves on customer service, this would be your best bet. I would make sure that you have as much specific information about your inconvenience due to the dealership as possible (copies of correspondence, names of sales people at the dealerships, dates of occurrence). If anything, they may be able to hook you up with something. Make sure you include lines like... "It was due to the recommendations and testimonials of my friends that I chose to purchase an Infiniti. However after my experience with (your dealership), I do not feel that I can reciprocate this same action. I am severely disappointed in the lack of organization and customer service, which I received from (your dealership). It is unfortunate that this inconvenience had occurred, however I feel that it was not due to any short coming on my part as a consumer, rather the ineptitude of (your dealership)."....corporate locations for national companies will eat this up. Trust me. I worked for places like this.

Good luck.

in matters like this i like to ask for a *******. jk

i think you may be asking too much. maybe a lifetime of free oil changes would be satisfactory.
