sad day for me...
sad day for me...
hey everyone,
needed a place to vent my frustation and anger...this is my story.
i was heading to Wrentham outlets this morning in massachusetts. There was bumper to bumper traffic due to some car accident up ahead...i was in the furthest right lane and just passed an on ramp where i heard and saw an ambulance siren..everyone in that lane behind me passed me to the right and hugged the right side of the freeway and blocked me from also squeezing in to get out of the way of the ambulance...so naturally i went to the lane on my left...because of the traffic i was not even half way in the lane..i went into the lane just enough to clear the road for the ambulance to pass by...
unfortunately there was a big rig truck that slowly pulled up to the side of me in the lane i tired to merge into. i wasnt completely in the lane so i thought he saw me coming in but i guess not. everyone was completely stopped as the ambulance was about to pass by.. but i noticed that the truck kept on creeping forward (~5mph) very slowly..so i honked at him to stop but didnt seem like he heard it..thats when this happened..i wish i could have turned back into the lane to avoid him but the ambulance was closing in...

"wolervine clawed my car"

his wheel just plowed into my car and left this damage...can you believe this??its not even a 5mph impact. his bolt made those wolverine marks and his tire just sank in to my fender...
just out of curiosity, so whos fault would this be?? i do understand that i was the one changing lanes however, i was doing it to make way for an incoming ambulance. Also, i was at a complete stop and honking at the truck driver to stop but he didnt notice. Additionally, an ambulance less that 50 feet away was coming and he was still moving...i would like to know just see what i can expect from my insurance company..
only good news..the wheels are ok..only small scuff marks from the tires..it can be polished out..im just glad that no ones hurt and my wheels are saved...thanks for listening

Sorry to hear about your accident, I've been having a lot of trouble with my G35 as well and am contemplating cutting my losses and selling it at this point. Hopefully your situation turns out a little better than mine.
Good luck with insurance, I can't really help you out there but I thought I'd give you a solidarity post for us guys with ****ed up G35s.

ouch! dang, there has been WAY too many g35 crashes!!! it starting to get scary. so, whos at fault? well, you are supposed to pull over to the right, they might pin that against you. i'll guess you'll see. hope everything turns out ok.
yea i know i was suppose to go to the right..but the cars behind kinda already took my spot in the right side...there was a lot of traffic and it was just after an on ramp so cars were just trying to squeeze through any space they had to pass everyone else...i was left with no choice but to go into the left lane...
only thing left for me is that the truck was moving when an ambulance was trying to pass. whats more unlawful/illegal, pulling over to the left instead of the right side or preventing an ambulance to pass by. honestly, with all the loop holes and sneaky lawyers out there, i really dont know wat to expect.
but yea i kinda know wat i did wrong...but at the moment i thought it was best to let the ambulance pass by (but had to sacrifice my car to do so
)
but thanks im just a little upset this had to happen
good news is that the car is still drivable even though its a little embarrassing with a huge gash and dent but i still need to go to school...i have patients to attend to...
