I do, but it gets real hard pulling the G up the hills, especially if I forget and leave the parking brake on!

I am NOT complaining about MPG, but I noticed an interesting observation. I recently installed the 350Z track wheels on my G and I have tried to drive similar to what I did before, but the last 2 tanks have really dropped alot. I used to get 24-25MPG with the Stock 17" wheels/tires and now with the 350Z track wheels I'm getting 21-22. I guess the wider tires really affect the MPG...

Anyone else notice something similar?

ah... no you didn't, i'd say it's pretty close to impossible to get 29mpg. my car averages about 19-21, and i drive slow.

wheel weight would make a bit of a difference in weight the car is moving.. i think the ratio is about 1 to 5 so every lb. of rotational weight on the wheel is (if i remember right) equal to 5 lbs. of still weight in the car.

with wider tires..you might expect more road drag ...if there is such a phrase where you have more contact with the road, and thus the tire rolls with more resistance and friction. Imagine a road bike's tires (lance armstrong) vs. your 350z rims. Which one has more contact with the road and takes more effort to maintain speed?

weight would be a bigger issue... INERTIA.. its a basic physics principle

There is always planning your road trips around having a high tail wind, say 40mph or higher, then keeping your speed to 55mph.

I've never done this, so I don't know how much it helps. But I know the time I averaged 75mph into a 50mph wind knocked my mileage down to 22mph.

driving a hybrid taught me about COASTING..
make sure you coast when you know you are going to stop/exit/merge/etc..
