Apexi Safc S-afc Can It Be Installed In The G35?
I recently bought an 03 G35 AT,
so far my mods are CAI but exhaust and plenum is on the way.
I had a lexus sc400 with intake and exhaust previosly and had installed apexi S-afc,
and with dyno tunning I gained around 20 rwhp from this mod.
Can this unit be installed on the G35 and has anyone done this?

I am planning to get SAFC as well because I am going to put headers, MREV+ 5/16spacer, TP and TD exhaust on my car...
I heard to get the max out of all those parts I would need to readjust the AF ratio...
Now I am wondering is it possible to tune it with out doing it on dyno because I don't think there are any dyno place over my area....
thx

You can tune it just fine on the street with the right wideband but its going to cost around 400-500. Tuning on a dyno and the street is different but not by much, if you tune on the street just aim for a safe a/f ratio as stated and you'll be fine. However, unless you already have the equipment, the cost to hp gain may not be worth your time for all this work unless you have bigger plans in the future like FI that may take you in this direction anyway. I gained 50 WHP with my S-AFC II
Something was way wrong with my car when we got it dynoed it was only putting down inbetween 190-200 WHP i dont rmemeber exact numbers. After the tune i was in between 240-250 with the exhaust and intake. I havnt had it retuned for my 5/16 spacer yet.
So in my case it really helped me out.

Not all widebands have a datalogging capability and its too hard and dangerous to try and tune it at WOT while driving. So do and internet search for wideband controllers and several will appear. Then just read and find out which one works for you. They all do the same thing, some just have different features.
