So who on G35driver.com did you copy?

Im about to go and finally mod my g35. Gonna go the exterior/bodykit route first and as im searching the site to see which combo would look best I have to say im really liking truplay8's style. Im not gonna make it look exactly like his car but everything he has i like alot. With that said, who on G35driver.com did you try and style your car after? And if someone copied your entire setup would you be pissed or flattered?

I think I'd be flattered if someone copied my setup weather it would have been purposely or accidentally. Most of all whats important though is that you try to be creative and do what you think looks good.
Happy Modding

I can't copy one single person, that would be very unoriginal and my car wouldn't be unique. I like to see hundreds of pics of different cars and naturally realize what I like and the kind of mods I want to do.

That's why I like it when someone that is new comes in with a modded car. We get to see something done without the influence of this forum. I must admit that my idea of what is "hot" on the G has changed a lot after being on this forum for several years.

this thread is kind of pointless. cuz almost everyone has volk and a kenstyle rear. For a while everyone was getting the greddy front, now its the ings lip. There's not too much to pick from. Same goes with N/A mods, Once you go FI thens it kinda gets different because not everyone goes FI....

True, I haven't seen anything really "original" in a while now.

and I haven't had a chance to copy anyone cuz, hardly anyone on here has a Liquid Platinum G, and no one makes a lip for the 06 sports bumper. Also alot of people say they don't like carbon fiber on my color which is better for me cuz if they don't like it they most likely wont copy it.

copying someone doesnt mean you have to have the same color as them..

anyway, it's almost impossible to be original if you have a coupe. ive received gawd knows how many PMs asking what setup i have and people have told me that they are going to copy my car but they always say "dont worry i wont post pics" lol

it's like grant said, hes very happy that he got a sedan. it's much easier to be original with a sedan and hes got one of the best, if not the best, looking sedans on the forum.

as for the coupe, unless you have lots of money to do custom work, then chances are that someone has already done what you want to do.

it's pretty easy to copy off others since there isn't much exterior mods out there for the G
