Window Tint Question

Hey everyone-

I just had my new G tinted yesterday. When I picked up the car they told me that I have to wait 48 hours to roll down any windows and 7 days to clean the windows. What I have noticed is that on the back window there are several small bubbles - it almost looks like drops of water between the window and the film. I don't have this on any of the other windows - just the back one. It's only been 24 hours since I got the car back so is it possible that these may dry up and dissapear or did they mess up that window?

+1 Yup, the back window is the biggest, making it the harder one to dry (so it's normal don't worry), if you live in a place where the sun actually comes out this time of year, park it in the sun, when you are driving it run your heater and your rear defroster to help. If your G has the automatic roll down and roll up windows when you get in and out of the car, try not to do that too much because that might start messing the tint up.

Have no worries. Bubbles are normal. They'll dry up. Could take quite a few weeks too depending on ambient temps and sun/no sun conditions.

leave your car park outside in the sun for a few hours then use a credit card and try push it out.

did they file down the dots on the back window, if not then the bubble will stay there.

I wouldnt mess with it, I had 5% all the way around and my back windows had some bubbles pretty bad for 3 days. I never touched them and by aroudn the 5th day it looked perfect!! just leave them alone for a little longer

wait about a week, then use a credit card against a thin cloth to smooth out any residual bubbles. Most halfway decent tint shops offer lifetime warranties anyway, so if the bubbling is significant, you can take it back to the shop and have them redo it.

The bubbles went away on their own after 3 days so I just needed to be a little more patient. Thanks for everyone's response!

Hey, Is window tinting legalized in most of the State?

How much do you pay for the window tinting?
