Good to see you are okay, but I hate to say it,working where I work,I'd have to agree with klubbheads said, and that being said, what was your speed at. Being that it's a coupe, that car has a very low, center of gravity. I used to live in a rich town too. kids would drive to school in really nice cars, bmw, porsche, couple supra turbos mkIV,and so forth. This one kid I knew had a bmw 850i,the coupe, was drunk one night, driving home, lost control of the car and drove into a tree, and then got his foot pinned under the dash to the accelerator and blew the nice v12 he had in it,we had to cut him out. Mommy and Daddy wouldn't ya know it went and bought him a brand new one.

EVERYBODY
at the time of the wreck i was 17.
i was doin about 45 wen i was switching lanes goin downhill.
i switched lanes too fast, like i turned the steering wheel quickly, thats probably the majority of the cause of losing control.
i got a ticket for careless driving.
insurance paid majority of my new g35 (04 black on black)
anymore questions???

Hope you get a new G soon.

I am glad you're ok, and I have crashed cars before too. But you should NEVER turn VDC off. I owned a 350z for 4 years. You would be amazed at the number of single vehicle accidents people got into. Most of them had VDC off + were driving recklessly. That is a bad combo right there. VDC is not fool proof, but it will only help your chances of recovering from a mishap
I just dont understand why people turn it off on public streets? The street is not a race track, and if you think it is you have no idea what racetracks are like (not intended to original poster, just people in general)

It sounds like you are 'blaming' accidents on VDC. VDC has nothing to do with any accident, it is always the driver behind the wheel.
It may be true that VDC can prevent accidents, but it will never cause them. If you don't know how to drive a RWD car then you shouldn't purchase a RWD car, end of story.
