Confused!!! 06 coupe or 07 sedan both new
Ok Im in a dilemma.. like everyone else i checked out the other cars supposedly in the class but settled on the g35 for the price and style..
now heres the dilemma:
i love the body of the coupe and my local dealership has 4 06s to choose from still left over. Theyre giving 5k off sticker price for any of them.. I never liked the idea of the coupe but after reading somewhere the coupes seat aren't suitable for long trips i test drove an 07 sedan. 306 HP is alot!!! I never expected the car to be that fast. Its faster the 06 and 07 coupe(wtf??) i always thought coupes are supposed to be faster than their counterparts.
The car begins to red line near 7500 rpms its incredible for a sedan. And I currently own a 2000 lincoln LS v8 model.
Ok so 5k off sticker is supposed to be really good right?? I dont think the dealerhsip is going to budge any more. I like the sedan too but not sure what to get or if i can get a good deal on the sedan. What kind of prices are people paying for them? salesman said i can get maybe 2500 off sticker.Ideas?? which one should i pick.. ? and an extra 2k for wheels? cant i just buy the wheels from somewhere?

So...look at invoice for the coupes, you should be getting a few thousand off that (don't know coupe pricing, so maybe you're already there).
I was making the same choice, and chose the sedan because on my last car I bought the last model year of the previous gen. Great car, but didn't have the new bells and whistles, and the '07 is a wonderful car. If you can afford either, I'd go with the new model.

Who wouldn't rather have the newest model out? Therefore for me I'd rather have the first year of a model rather than the last year of a model, obviously except for the reliability issues buying a new model. Consumer Reports rates Infiniti very well in reliability so you are good in that area.
I like the coupes as well but why pay good money on a car that will be out dated in 4 to 6 months. If you like the coupe hold out for the 08's, or make sure you get a better deal on that '06. $5k off Sticker is not good enough in my opinion. It's already one year old, even though it's brand new.
