yeah.. Its the same button you use to reset your trip meter!!!
push down and hold that button untill the rpms show up and start blinking ..(where the distance traveled usually appears) .. then click the button and the rpm number will rise up .. keep pushing it until you get to the rpm you want the rev limiter to kick in... I have mine at 7200 ...redline is 7300 I think.. any thing higher than 7300 just turns the rev limiter off...

I suggest keeping it at 7k or a lil higher...

when you're driving the rev light will start to flash when you're 500 rpms from you're set rpm rev limit and the light will become solid when you hit that limit...

As for the revlimiter, yeah it sucks when you hit it, but id rather hit a revlimiter than the totally wrong gear... Nothing a ECU reflash cant take care of.

I've done a lot of racing, probably more than 90% of the g drivers on this board, and not once have I ever shifted into the wrong gear.

However - I have missed shifts plenty of times. I probably miss shifts more than the average driver. I freely admit that.

And the reflash - it doesn't matter how high your limiter is, it's still there. Doesn't matter if it's 6600, or 7200. If you're trying to keep it in gear for that extra torque multiplication, there's always a chance of bouncing off the limiter - regardless of transmission.

Not lifting your foot from the accelerator while shifting.

I dunno what everyone did but in my brand new G 35 i was keeping it easy on the gas pedal for about 3000-4000 miles just keeping the rmp range below 4K and sometimes give it more in a lower gear so the engine gets used to the oil.

The actual definition for power shifting is while accelerating, without pushing in the clutch or letting off the gas, you shift gears by pulling it out of the previous gear and jamming it into the next gear. This "may" give you faster times, but isn't advisible at all as your trans probably won't last more than a couple of pulls with this kind of abuse, if it lets you do it at all.

sounds like a pretty stupid thing to do then..
