well i jsut wrecked my 03 on rt 17 in jersey...but in the past few months my gas mileage has gone up drastically! i was getting around 330 miles per tank...a lot of highway miles with regular gas sometimes more some times a lil less. but still much better then normal..i never put the a/c on normal..always econ, and use the windows for local driving..also make sure you empty the tank all the way down n then fill it up all the way i feel like the gas light goes on early really early when you dont fill up all and empty it all the way

UPDATE
upset with the horrible mileage i went and bought one of the more expensive fuel injector cleaners,,,$10 or so,,,
drove one full tank on that,,,only was able to pull barely 300 miles on the tank,,,
but just took that car on the trip to twin cities,,,,and got 420 miles on tank,, and this includes 10 miles of driving the living **** out of my car,,,,
so now im not sure what happened,,,maybe the cleaner worked and my injectors were really dirty or who knows,,,,

Maybe it's because you hotrod your car around town and when you get on a long highway stretches you just cruise. If you consistently take your engine over 3000rpms, it's going to impact MPGs. Stop and go traffic kills mpgs and if you jack rabbit start all the time, your mpgs will suck. That's a fact.

Is there anything you can do to increase mpg? Would lighter aftermarket wheels help?
