next generation = brand new
I guess I just have a different idea of what brand new model means... the G37 may not be completely different in terms of styling on the exterior, but the saying goes... "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"
and I don't now why people would expect the dimensions to be so different on a next generation car either. To my knowledge, the engine is one that Infiniti has never used before and it's also their first time using VVEL... I wouldn't call that just "reworked".
