I just got my bonus from work and found a nice Gcoupe close by.
Its a black Auto with 28k miles, 18" rims. (sport sus. package come on autos in 04?) becuase he said its fully loaded. (hasnt had its 30k service yet tho). It looks to be in very good condition. leather looks showroom.
he wanted 24k. I asked if price was neg. and he said thiers alittle room tp negotiate.
what do you think is a good price for this car?
also. when i go to check it out what should i look for with the 04's ?
thanks, JC.

People don’t like to answer this type of questions, no matter what they say? Someone else will always chime in and says “you should go lower” cus either themselves or someone they know just got it for xxxx dollars cheaper and makes you look dumb.
My sugguestion would be this, take look on autotrader or other car selling sites in your area and see how many cars with similar options are going for, if they are more than a few for sale for same price range? Than you could/should go lower. Besides, no harm in trying.
On the 04’s, I am not aware of any major break downs, but some minor stuffs like, power window motors, premature wear on pads and rotors, some squeaks and rattles, If you could, hold out for couple months and look for 05's with updated interior, the price should be into this range soon...Heck, just did a quick search on autotrader? there are quite a bit of 05's are asking 25k or less around the Country already...good luck.
Found this example for only 21.2k, sure looks like great deal, could be salvaged?

Kelly Blue Book will get you all the variables, list all the Infiniti options, geographical area, give you Private Party vs. Dealer prices, mileage, 4 categories of condition, etc. etc.
You can also plug in all the info for SELLING the same car. That way you can determine how much profit the seller is expecting.
Again, I recommend you start there. It will get you a lot further than trying to figure out how good a deal a car is by reading an ad, or listening to a salesman if you are still on the fence.
Using KBB as a reference was priceless in my last 3 auto transactions (selling one, buying 2) over the last 5 years.
I would agree using AutoTrader for used cars, buying and selling really brings in responses.
