If you like it, maybe buy a cheap beater MT car and learn on it before beating on a nice G.

My previous cars, half of them are MT. MT is fun for sure, when I am up to it; but as a daily driver, AT is the way to go. I would not mine having fun MT weekend car.

i use the tiptronic constantly, and never get sick of it unless i get a phone call or need to use a hand for some purspose so i switch it back into drive.

After a while, it's like 2nd nature, so you don't even think about it. I've driven MT in Chicago rush hour traffic for years, and never did I think, "I wish I had an auto..." I don't think trying out an MT for a week or so would really give you the true feel of owning an MT, as you're still adjusting.... Buy a $200 beater MT car and beat on it, drive it through traffic for a few weeks, then throw it away.... You'll get practice and you'll also find out if M is for you.... Good luck...

really loving that idea, i think i might just do that... but what kind of car should i get ? and where will i find one for so cheap ?

thanks everyone for putting in there opinions, made me realize its practically a 50/50 decision and it's really based on myself and my style.

Get a Miata. Pretty cheap to find, easy as **** to learn on, and fun to drive.

lol you guys are like throwing me off from getting the mt g now...
i was thinking of getting a b5 audi s4 cause id be able to get one and have like 6 grand left over and make it killa, but i dont like the idea of having a car thats like 5-6 years old...
plus i love my g, only thing i like about the b5 s4 over it is the possibility of seemingly endless moding i can do to it, its turbo, and all wheel drive (but then i cant drift!!!) !

yeah but selling or trading my g in would be an almost even exchange, so id have to save up money to mod it.. how much would it be to throw in a tt?

selling my g and getting a b5 s4 which would be like an 02 would leave me like 6 grand left over, which would get me: chip, short shifter, exhaust, intake, rs4 grill and rims, tires and then some...
but ehhh on the older cars

^ depends on the turbo you want. Greddy has em for about 4k? to JWT and APS that are around 7-8k. Its up 2 u and what u want. You can save and be a beast or trade and get an older car and make it faster. Depends on how much ur lookin to spend and they look u want

yeah, not looking to spend that much to upgrade like that, but i love the g look... plus i really dont need something that ridiculously fast, im sure ill be satisfied with a mt g with intake, headers, short shifter and maybe a few more mods...

The G35's MT does have a stiffer clutch than most cars (03-04's anyway), so it takes a little getting used to, but not too bad. Then again--all MTs take a bit of adjusting to it, as no 2 are really alike.... Haven't had any issues with my 6MT, except that the dealer recently told me my clutch is worn and it'd be $2000 to replace. I just high-tailed outta there, as it's shifting fine and isn't slipping. So--if you decide on the MT, don't fall for their "worn clutch" trap....unless it's slipping...
