Stick with auto or go manny ?
Go AT, don't make the same mistake I did getting a manual in LA traffic. And the G doesn't make comfortable smooth shifts you'll get tired of it. Go drive a BMW manual transmission then a g35 manual, you'll see what I mean. Stick with AT.
A buddy of mine has an auto G and he hates every second of me having a 6 speed... PLUS THE 03 - 04s come with brembos... i dont care if the new brakes are as big or what not, ive gotten more ooos and aaaas over the brembos than anything else, lol.... adds a nice look and is very classy.... if its a newer one, and brakes dont matter, i still would advice getting a 6spd...
i would NEVER get a G in automatic, every time i get a loaner i drive it, and dont get me wrong its drives very nice, still very quick, but the second i get my car back i hit second nice and hard and i realize how much better my car is than the auto.... Soooooooooo much more fun, and once you are used to stick, traffic is no biggie imo... with these cars you can be off the gas and cluch fully and the car will still roll without stallling, in heavy traffic u can just roll along, and even if you need to go crazy with the clutch, it becomes second nature... my brother just got a 350z last week and he is already perfecting stick, its not hard to learn, and if you can drive a G manual, wait until you drive other cars... itll be a breeze....
go ahead and trade it in and you will NOT regret it!!!! you can drift all you want as well.. plenty of power bone stock to do so

ever since i first got an MT i have never gone back to AT. maybe when im like a family man or a grandpa or something i'll get AT... but for now i cant see myself with an auto. manual transmission gives you total control of what the car is doing (i've used that tiptronic ish on the loaner cars and it sucks - however i hear the new paddle shifters on the new ones are great) and its a blast. and i hate the way AT's sound with aftermarket exhaust.
about traffic... sure traffic is a biyatch.. BUT in my opinion its not the mt that makes traffic a biyatch... traffic is a biyatch no matter what your driving... hell, even if im a passanger i cant stand traffic!

my car is an auto 07 coupe, but other than the hype i hear from other people about how much better it would have if its stick. Im fine with it. I cant even stand using the tiptronic a lot...i only use it on highways and to maybe slow down in an emergency.
I have had both transmissions. Manual is definately more "proactive". You are very involved in driving. ALL THE TIME. Sometimes you may want to talk on the phone, other times you may want to drink a starbucks "on the fly". Every now and then you may need to talk on the phone, while enjoying a $5 cup of coffee, IN TRAFFIC. At those times you will regret your manual transmission. I drive the 5at. My biggest regret is that I can't get a "chirp" while shifting. I learned to live with it. In the city -with or without traffic - you may never get out of second gear anyways. On top of that, i suspect infiniti clutches are as expensive as tires and brakes. Go auto.

Haven't had any issues with my 6MT, except that the dealer recently told me my clutch is worn and it'd be $2000 to replace. I just high-tailed outta there, as it's shifting fine and isn't slipping. So--if you decide on the MT, don't fall for their "worn clutch" trap....unless it's slipping...

6MT Coupe
I love my MT, but since the OP already has an AT there's nothing wrong with moddin his AT. I say go for it.
Know a guy who has an AT and is TT. That G is hella fast and he's always complaining about not enough traction with his tires...lol.

AT!!!! To answer the question of this post In MY OPINION, stick with your AT, i love my AT, i went from Evo to Lexus GS300 then G35, i love my AT, i had fun with manual but i got sick of it. Put it this way, although im older now, i got my G when i was 17, i had no job, and no my parents didnt get it for me, they help finance but im paying it, some of us just have different ways of getting money
Hustaaallaaah. But i respect all ways, and those who actually had to work hard for their funds, but thats not the point, the point is stick with a AT. Yeah so what , MT you can launch it, doesnt make the guy with the MT any more cooler than you. If they think that, they a looser.
