Gonna be gone for two months - How to store car

gonna on a little vaction to visit my family in korea and will be gone for about two months and wondering what i should do to store the car for that period

it will be outside in my driveway and although i can have my father come and start it every once i dont want him to let off the clutch while the car is in gear and into my garage

im thinking of disconnecting the battery but do i just take out the battery or just the disconect the negative side and if i do disconect the battery will i have to reset the radio with a security code (which i dont have and will have to go to the dealer to get which means $$$)

usually i just use the handbrake when i park my car since i have a flat driveway but should i use the handbrakes, 1st gear or reverse
i have heard that the handbrake can freeze to the rotors if used along period of time

and last jackstands or not i live in the northeast and it will be getting very cold very soon so should i put the car on jackstands or is it alright to just park it it will be visible in my driveway and think it would look very funny to see my car on jackstands for that period of time

thanks for all the advice in advance

2 months is nothing. I wouldn't worry about it. Worse case is you'd MAYBE have to jump it, but with a good strong battery, not likely. There's no radio code on Nissan's/Infiniti's. I guess you can have your father give it a wash while you're gone though.

You lose your radio station presets when disconnecting the battery. No big deal. You also lose your security system. And since you are leaving the car outside.....

No need to start it. I would Wash,Vacuum,Check Fluids & Air Pressure. Take the car for a 30 minute drive & fill the car up before you go home. Once home put a block of wood in front and back of the wheels. Leave in neutral w/no e-brake. Spray vents with Lysol disinfectant spray & cover the car with a tarp CAREFULLY. Use heavy rocks to hold the tarp down. NOW you should be good to go. [Wax it if you are **** like me]... Have fun.

Go to an auto parts store and look for Stabil. It "preserves" the gas as much as possible so that it retains its combustibility. Otherwise you'll be starting a car with "stale" gas.

I could be wrong, but i do not think gass will go bad after 2 months-More like 4-6 months.

I agree in that no stabilizer is needed. I read on another forum where a car sat for 18 months and it still fired up.

yeah, my uncle stores his car for 9 months out of the year and he has no problems, he has a covered sealed storage unit though.

You could get a trickle charge battery tender. It keeps the battery charged up without overcharging it. I have them for my motorcycles and it makes the battery last a lot longer. But I am storing my bikes for like 5+ months; two months shouldn't be an issue.
