i got a 5at 2 reasons one is the nasty miami traffic the other was the nasty deal i got on my specific car. that said if you get used to driving your 5at wit the fake manny you can get a decent down shift when your in the mood or just crank the radio and wait in traffic the rest of the time.

that said you cant rev up at a light and clutch in at 4 - 5 grand and if you do well thats the last light your g will be at for a wile.

your call, truth is if you don't plan on modding this car, its not a speed daemon its a zippy little car and completely stock the 6mt has a .2 advantage on the 5at when driven and tested by good drivers, if you find a 6mt on the street if the guy cant drive you'll smoke him, no matter how bad you are you can always push the accelerator right.

I commute around 100+ miles a day and I have a 6mt. I love it and still not sick of it even in traffic.

I'll admit, after having an 07 Sedan loaner, its just simply easier to drive faster, around town and what not. But regardless, after driving a 6MT, you realize the auto sucks. 6MT FTMFW, 5AT FTMFL!

if you're interested in performance you likely will not stay stock... having that been said, if you do the right mods AT will without a doubt compete with MT in a drag race... if you want autocross performance go MT (easier to get in and out of corners @ optimal rmp/speed than with AT)

otherwise, who cares... get what is comfortable or fun for you.

Get 5AT if you drive in through stop and go traffic daily assuming this car will be your daily driver, otherwise 6MT, otherwise you will most likely regret it

I get to experience both (two different cars of course). That being said, I do not regret getting the 5AT. It snaps off upshifts pretty quick and is quick on the draw at which gear it should be in. I also don't find a manual transmission a chore in stop-n-go.

^^ if you are really from South Dakota as your info suggests, you have not really experienced stop and go traffic...

I can handle it once in a while, but it would suck to do it daily. Luckily my work commute is about 10 min and no traffic

Just because I'm in South Dakota doesn't mean I don't travel in my job to big cities
