So..why isnt G35 called Skyline 350 in US?

Yes its very common to name a car after its displacement in this country....however if you compare the names of the cars in Japan you will usually come up on a normal name....
Like Silvia for 240sx....FairladyZ for a 350z.... Skyline for G35 even thought they do put a 350gt emblem on there.....
