hey everyone, i tried searching the forums for a clear answer but had no luck. so i figured i could start a new thread to see your input here. my car is due for an oil change, @3,600mi since the last change.

i last put in mobil 1 0w-40 because of the info i read on my350z. i need to bring it in for the 25k mile service, and i was wondering if they could void my warranty if i used 0w-40 again?

i know that it just has to be atleast SAE certified for me to use it, but i just dont want to have to hassle with the service tech's about it.

should i just have them perform the 25k service w/o the oil change and do it elsewhere, or just put in mobile-1 5w-30 for now and switch it back after 3000mi? thanks for your input

also, any suggestions for dealers to go to in the NYC-LI area with decent prices ?

why used 0w40? is it that talk of better MPG because the engine doesnt have to work as hard. Sound like bs. They will care what oil you put in there because you will have to ask them to use something different than whats specified in the manual. If you cant do it yourself than just take what they give you.
