Growing up in South Africa, car and car part thefts were an everyday occurrence and we did all sorts of crazy things...the ones I remember were
- running a 240V (its not 120V there) wire to the car body after disconnecting the battery
- double ignition keys
- wiring a high power discharge to the car alarm so the body is momentarily electrified to a couple of thousand volts, to act like a giant tazer
- the one that I will never forget is the flame thrower that BMW tried to sell as an add on, but was deemed to inhuman:

Would be carjackers would come up to a stop light with a gun and try to get you out of the car. The flame thrower was operated by a switch under the clutch pedal.

I have often though about putting little spy cams in the front and the back, battery powered to only come on when the car is locked to catch vandals faces.

if its odd hrs they might be setting it off on purpose to **** u off so u could turn it off thinking its just a cat or something... once u turn it off they get to work. its happend to people ive known before. there is an alarm where if its set off it will take a pic of who is near the windows and send it via 2way pager. i cant think of who makes it at the moment though

I agree with Gordon Gecco I caught some guy just looking in my window of my car out side my house and kicked the **** outta him...I called the cops and come to find out he had broken into 3 other cars in my neighborhood. It's sad to say but no matter what you do they will always find a way to F your stuff up...I'm in your boat no garage so I feel your pain ...Good Luck

Drive it to a nice high cliff, smash the glass, punch the ignition and tear it all apart and push it off. Worth a try.. :P
