Not to defend Lia, but I recently hit a deer and needed a lot of work. As they got into the car they kept finding other things that were damaged and had to order more parts, and these parts were also the first ones that needed to be replaced. Long story short: My car was in the shop for 6 weeks.
If the insurance company is paying for a loaner car for you, they should be putting pressure on the body shop. Otherwise no one has any incentive to rush things along.
