NOOB getting it in the rear!

I have an 03 G. I bought it used. runs great but the OEM wheels had some major curb rash. So I bought some rims for the car, staggered setup. 18's with no drop. it looks good to me but I am getting major uneven tire wear just in the rears. I took it to my friends shop to get it aligned and balanced to factory specs. I even got the rear camber kit for the rears thinking it will help, but it didn't. I have replaced the rears twice now within a year and half of use. Can anyone make a suggestion on how to fix this or if they have experienced this. I have seen a lot of tire wear issues when I searched the forum but nothing that quite covers my issue. I need help.

I hope with the catchy title I would get more people to read the thread and would help out.

What type of uneven wear are you getting? Cupping, feathering, inside, outside, center, edges, etc.?

I think cupping and feathering are not very common on the rear due to the rear-wheel drive. If you're getting that definitely check your suspension, especially shocks.

The wear would be inside. What would shocks do to tires if they go bad? Never knew they could be the culprit. Just to get some extra miles on the tires I would have the shop offset the camber just so I can ride on them.

I finally broke down and bought another set of rears. I stayed away from the KUMHOs this time and got some FALKENs instead. Rides just a tad louder but the guy at Tires Direct it should last longer. It handles well in the rain. I took the G to another shop and had the works done on the suspension, balance, aligned, etc. I will have them check the shock next time though. I am driving more conservative now, I am even slowing down on exit ramps just to see how long these will last me.

feathering caused by negative camber which has been a problem on this car and on 350z's for a long time now, and nothing ever gets done about it.. Just have to live with it...

feathering has nothing to do with camber at all its caused by improper toe. improper camber would cause un even wear on the outside or inside of the tire and the real wheels do not have any toe adjustments the only thing i could really think of which is the same reason why i go through tires fast is cuz i sure dont under drive it
