Just drop it - okay.

Wow finally someone with some intelligence
Jeff clearly has too much time on his hands and has a one sided view on things and only his view is right and I soon realized that he is not capable of having intelligent conversation either that or he is just an attention ***** who likes to
Infiniti > BMW 2003 - 06
BMW > Infiniti 07+
Infiniti, or better said NISSAN, should consider coming in to compete with the 335I from factory. The G37 was intended for that but fell short.
We cant compare the GT-R to any of this talk as this car is $70k + . We are talking about 50k-ish cars and under. I just feel that if infiniti can pull off a faster coupe than the 335I and improve on the crappy G37 designs AND still keep it thousands less than the 335I they will regain that market.

And to top it off, when his logic failed, the flames soon followed.

This caliber of car has a near perfect 50/50 balance between performance and everyday livability, which I feel the G35 already has so that's a great foundation to build upon. All I'm saying is that Nissan has no product that can currently compete in the $50,000+ Luxo-Sport car and that their best option would be a G. 350Zs are seen as more of a younger buyer's vehicle and would not get any respect next to the luxurious, spacious cars in the segment.
Also - to all the comments about Infiniti being strictly luxury and not supposed to have a performance car, what are you talking about! If Lexus can pull off a car like the superfluous looking IS-F successfully, than Infiniti should be next in the gate. Infiniti's formula is based on a mix between performance driving with comfort, or else they're smallest engine wouldn't be a 3.5 V6 pumping out 300+ horses! That's between 70 and 106 more than the typically more expensive base competitors, so there's no doubt Infiniti is about performance driving!!!

Infiniti has always been the "bmw" of the Japanese luxury line. As Lexus has been the "mercedes" of the Japanese luxury line. In fact, Infiniti is the only one that hasn't stepped up. I'd like to see a car exactly in the price range you are talking about.

hey guys I read that Nissan wants to build a 4 door GTR, I guess they run into some problems how the engine is centered and everything else with it, and by extending it a few inches throws everything else off balance
I saw it on Car and Driver I believe =] they photo-choped it, and stuck a Infinity Logo =]

And how exactly are G35's outdated?
I'm excited to see if Infiniti takes the plunge and enters the segment, I hope they do. A more aggressive front spoiler/splitter and maybe quad tips out the rear and they'd be ready to fight. I don't think anyone will be catching the new CTS-V soon though with its 550hp
