high Performance G in the future?

just reading a top gear article with the audi rs4, bmw m3, benz c63 AMG, and lexus isF. . .does anyone know if infiniti woudl ever come out with a "performance" G to compete in that bracket? a 400 HP G of some sort, naturally aspirated perhaps V8, or turbo'd v6. . . anyways, i'm just dreaming, but damn i'd be allll over that! perhaps if we start a petition Infiniti woudl listen. . .awesome.

I really think that Inifiniti should come out with a car that can compete with the M3, RS4 IS-F etc. Hopefully they are planning on making something in the near future which would be awesome.

yea they deff. should, but i just realized that now that the G37 is out, we might have to say goodbye to the sexy g35 body that still looks better than the 37 (IMO). Hopefully they will bring the g35 body back, throw a nasty engine in it (Turbo v6)(N/A v8) and give it a G37 interior, and then give it a name like the GX or the GT. that would be my dream car.............

GTR has nothing in common with the G35.

GTR is more of a competitor with those super high priced super cars. . .ferraris, 911 turbo, lambos. . .even though it is priced at like mid high 70's. . .but if teh G is curretnly priced at mid 30s, imagine adding 10 to 15K to that price tag and waht Infiniti can do with that much more money to improve performance. . .shoot, if any of us were given 15K in extra cash to modify the current G, we could do enough to have it possibly compete with those cars.

40K base infi + 15K = stock turbo (maybe twin) v6 @ 3.Something L (where something > 5) sounds an awful lot like a GTR to me ...

Infinti would have two interesting ways to do this. One with their new V8 putting out near/over 400hp na? And another would be to use a detuned GT-R TT V6 and RWD only.

Okay. Why not? There's a big price gap inbetween the coupe and GTR. Definately room for a performance model in there. Especially if they keep it RWD as to not to compete with it.

Because that's what many feel IS a high performance version of the G. But the thing is, the high performance versions of the BMW/Lexus aren't nearly 2x the price.

I would be all over it, as long as it does not look like a G37.
