Debadging question.

I just debadged my G (took the G35 and I N F I N I T I off, left the Mt. Fuji). The adhesive residue left under the INFINITI letters came off with some bug/tar remover and a little clay bar to clean it up, but the adhesive under the 'G35' is proving much more difficult. Rather than being soft like what was under the INFINITI, it is a very hard and wont come off with any amount of scrubbing and rubbing with the bug/tar remover or clay bar.

Do you guys have any suggestions on how to get this off? It is driving me crazy, I spent a good 30 minutes working on it with hardly any progress. Any product recommendations or techniques to remove it would be awesome.

Thanks a lot.

Thanks, I have something called Goop which I think is essentially the same thing but I had heard that petroleum in it (for degreasing) can be bad for your paint. Ill try it though, thanks again!

use a hairdryer to heat the adhesive up, then hit it again with the Goop. try using some rubbing alcohol on it if that doesn't work - be sure to cleanup thoroughly afterwards.

Thanks for the responses. Didn't get a chance to work on it again today, but will try these suggestions out tomorrow morning.

Update: Ok, I got it all off. What worked was heating it for about a minute with a hair dryer then using gas on a clean rag to rub it off. It still took a bit of elbow grease, but that was the only solution that worked for me. Every other combination I tried failed, the gas is what did it.
