gran touring is a gt designation.. its just a letter they used like other models whats the q in q 45 mean.. nothing its just how they designate the model.. some of the answers on here wow. You get better drugs than .me

Found this online.

According to Carlos Ghosn, CEO of Nissan Motors, the letter G was chosen "for marketing purposes and its similarity in sound to the letter J", apparently in deference to the Infiniti J30.
