Brakes Squeeks in reverse
hi all
just got a used 04 G35C from dealer. they said they recently changed the brakes and rotors on it. it squeeks whenever i go in reverse only. braking forward is perfectly fine.
is this a major concern? car doesn't have warranty, I am trying to take it back to them but since it was sold as is not sure if they will want to do anything.
if it squeeks going forward and back then i wouldn't be as concerned.
thanks

I'm not sure this is true, but when you put your foot halfway down on the brake, it only stops the front wheels, since thats where the brunt of the force is moving towards while stopping.
It may be the opposite in reverse. like when you put the pedal down, it engages the rear and not front. This is just a guess.
But keep in mind, that new pads squeak, so they may not be broken in yet. Check anyway.

what bothers me is, if it squeeks, it should do it while i'm fwd as well as back.
but only does it on the back.
they didn't change the fronts yet.
only does it when i'm lightly pressing down as im backing out.
