Shift Style leather boot! 6MT

I bought a replacement shift boot from www.shiftstyle.com since I messed up the stitching on my OEM boot installing my THX shift ****. The fitment was not spot on so I had to make minor adjustments but overall, I am very pleased with how it turned out. I think it may have been designed for the 03-04 plastic interior and not the revised aluminum trim. The website has many different options to customize your boot, I went with perforated black leather with orange stitching

Looks nice. Good call on the perfed leather and orange stiching. Matches the steering wheel.

What adjustments needed to be made?

Their are about 8 (i think) small plastic pins which the OEM shift boot has precut holes which fit right onto each pin. Then there is a metal clip which holds the leather down. The holes which were precut on this boot did not seem to match up or i just couldn't figure it out since there is so many holes in perforated leather. Having perforated leather actually worked out well b/c i could just place the boot however I wanted by pushing any hole at the base of the boot onto the plastic pin. hard to describe, maybe if more people are interested I will make a DIY. I also had to trim up some of leather at the base so the clips from the aluminum trim piece could snap back into the center console.

After shipping and all the boot was 30 dollars. More options add to the cost, such as two-tone, stripes, and more stitching/multiple colors. It should also be noted that the 30 dollar price point is after a promo code I used from another website. I am awaiting permission to post the promo code on this forum.

Mind posting a pic of your interior to see how the new boot goes with the steering wheel?

I just ordered mine.

Thought about adding silver stripe and/or quad stitching but in the end went with exact style as yours

I love these less than $50 easy diy mods. Thanks for sharing and promo code

I ordered one 8 days ago. They charged my card immediatly but the order has been sitting in pending status ever since. I've sent them 2 emails this week already asking for status and have yet to receive a response.

Starting to **** me off.

^ thats weird, i received my order pretty fast.

When i sent them a email about a promo code for this forum it took about a week for a response...but that user above (shiftstyle) is the guy from the website. Try PMing him as well. out of curiosity, what options did you select with your boot?

Has your boot arrived as yet?

Please let us know.

Thank you
Hasn't arrived and according to your site hasn't changed from pending status since i placed it.

order 299332966

I can understand delays in manufacturing but the lack of response to email inquiries and no phone contact method whatsoever really bugs.

No matter what the product, customer service makes or breaks vendors and so far I'm not a big fan.
