No clue. My brake pads didn't wear out that quickly.

You mean "brakes" not breaks.

marketing scheme from Nissan... use softer rotors to make them go under specs faster.

lol it also gives more bite to use softer rotors. But I feel it is in their part to make more money.

all i know is that the stock G35 brakes are severely inadequate.
to put it bluntly, they suck...they blow..theyre horrible.
as a result, you need to use the brakes more to accomplish
your intended goal of stopping or slowing, thus wearing out
the pads sooner.
so this doesnt surprise me that you have to replace them.

Only the stock brakes of the 03-04 years. 05+ brakes went up in quality I believe because the are close to brembo specs.

It's something I would do anyway. The pads are not that expensive to upgrade, and when your rotors go, you can either get new ones for 600 or whatever or buy drilled and slotted ones for 700.

What year do you have?

The 03-04 (and 05x) brakes wore very quickly, however stopped very well.....the first couple of times. Then they would cook and fade easily. The 05-06 brakes (06 only on X) got a little bigger and went from 1-pot to 2-pot up front. Although they got close in size to the earlier Brembo option there was still no comparison as the calipers are far superior, not to mention the discs were thicker. Keep in mind, I state this in terms holding up after repeated stops or general thermal capacity. Altogether I feel the brakes all stopped pretty well.

Your best bet is to stop using oem parts and use better pads and Brembo blanks. If you tend to cook your brakes a bit then consider slotted or drilled rotors. I personally have been very happy with Axxiss ULT pad, although many here seem to prefer Hawks and others. Ultimately if those are still not good enough you can look into OE caliper upgrade or a full out swap.

Other things I did that made me very satisfied was stainless steel lines, Motul fluid, and a Stillen brake master stiffener.

In 2003 & 2004, the non-Brembo factory brakes were so bad that Infiniti offered to extend the warranty on the pads and rotors to 36,000 miles or 3 years.

That's right, I got 3 front and 2 rear replacements on my '04, but somehow they did not included the 05x which had the same brakes and I guess the Nissan 350z guys were probably out of luck too. Still, they stopped well, just wore WAY too quickly.
