Auto Headlights delay when turning off

Hello!

This is my first post here. I recently (well, its been a month) purchased a 2007 Infiniti G35 Coupe 6MT (She's a beauty!!). And let me tell you, I LOVE HER!

My only complaint is this..

I was use to using auto headlights in my last car which was a VW Jetta.. My new G seems to TAKE FOREVER to turn off the headlights when I turn off the car. I literally can turn off the car, get out of the car, walk across the parking lot and they are still on. It makes me soo paranoid that they aren't going to turn off. Is there any way to change the lag time on this? Does this bother anyone else? Perhaps I'm doing something wrong (which would be odd, but hey it's a possibility!). lol

Help! Thoughts?

I think the idea is that the lights will light your path as you walk away.... they do take a while to turn off... not sure if there is a way to adjust the delay.

I sometimes get paranoid when walking away.. whenever I put lights on auto.

I usually run my lights all the time, love the HID's, so I just turn em off manually.

There are a couple of delay settings that you can choose.

I think defualt is 1 min, and there is 1 30 sec and 30 sec as options. I think the dealer needs to change it though.

Theres a post about all the option in like unknown cool features of the G... Its in there somewhere.

Dave, it looks like the reference you posted you can also change how sensitive the auto headlights are! I've been trying to figure this out. Thanks! Any idea how much the dealer would charge to make the changes?

It depends on the dealer. Some charge for it, some don't. Mine didn't. You probably have a better chance of then doing it for free if you only ask them to change a couple of those settings.
