Should I set swaybar to F/R soft-med or soft-soft

Currently I have them set at med/med but the ride is a little too hard especially on the front since I also have Z springs and schocks. What do you think would be the best compromise for ride and handling? Soft/med or soft/soft?
I know someone will probably tell me to try it out both but I will need to have a shop do it for me so it would be nice to get some feedbacks first.

Harsh ride and feeling more bumps is just a fact of life with "performance" swaybars. I don't think that will change no mater which setting you use.

I have Hotchkis and I have mine set all the way hard in front and med in the back.

Soft front
Med/Hard rear
This is for racing.

For street I would say soft front/med rear.

farthest away from the bend. Longer "fulcrum" more bending of the bar, less length the harder to bend the bar.

hey
i have a hotchkis swaybar. In the front i have it have four setting, and i set it at the third setting, and the rear is med setting. so i guess my is setting is almost hard on front and med in the rear. I like this setting, and the neutral feeling that i have, and i think u would have a little better response since u are running on the Z spring. The ride definitely harsh itself, but u get what u want. Lose some comfort and gain some more performance.

One more thing to remember, use some synthetic grease on the bushings so they don't make noise. You can get it at Radio Shack or some auto supplys. It like an ointment, semi clear, nasty wont come off anything and nothing cuts it. So wear gloves. But Hotchkis says it is manditory.

Thanks to all for your feedbacks. I think I'll probably set it to soft/soft at the end.

soft/soft will not change the ride comfort.

When I changed from stock swaybar to stillen set at med/med, I definitely felt the ride got worse especially on the freeway.

I have never heard/felt ride comfort change when switching to stiffer sways.

I agree, sway bar setting shouldn't make that much difference in ride quality. You will likely feel no difference. I would run hard in the front and med in the rear. Less roll stiffness in the rear means it absorbs a smaller fraction of the lateral weight transfer when cornering, meaning you can get on the throttle sooner coming out of corners without throwing the rear end around. If you end up having too much roll stiffness in the front, then back both bars off a notch, but make sure you do both at the same time.

Judging by his posts, his priority is not handling. If i was in his position, i would just go back to stock sways and tein h-techs instead of the z suspension.

Is the handling improvement you get very noticeable?
