fiberglass bumper help!
fiberglass bumper help!
i bought and painted a fiberglass front bumper but everyone i talk to says dont put it on. i put 600$ into painting it and buying the bumper. wat do i do? i can put 200$ more and clear bra it to help decrease any chance of cracking or should i just try to sell it and keep my stock bumper? i just got TT and wanted to show off the intercooler but dont HAVE to. is clear bra going to help from cracking or stress marks in the fiberglass? or is that a waste of 200$ ??
mine has held up to "normally" driving just fine.. it doesn’t like to be pushed/slammed into to anything though - so be careful (but that should be said about any part of the car)... my bumper is being fixed as I type for stupid mistake.
OP – even if you slightly scrape on inclines you should be alright… normal road debris should be fine too… it takes a moderate and higher hit to create stress fractures or crack. If you like the way it looks, go for it!
