Does anybody know of a good aftermarket cupholder that fits well and doesn't look crappy? The factory cupholder leaves a lot to be desired, especially with larger cups.

 

FX FTW!!! Trust me - its what you are looking for... rookie was kind enough to give me an extra he had - I'm soooo happy

Find an FX, ask them to let you fit there's in you drop in - you'll see what I mean... problem is Infiniti doesnt sell just the insert, you have to buy the whole piece... in fact, I found out that only pre-05 have replaceable inserts

So try to find an FX that has an extra or might swap with you - or a salvage yard?

 

The FX cupholders will fit on a 6MT console? I think our cupholders are different than the one on the AT models. Pre-05 only or any first-gen FX??

 

wonder why ppl spend so much time cleaning their interior!

 

I would like to be able to drive to work in the morning without my coffee tipping over when I make a quick turn.

 

the one I got is out of an 04 I think (whatever year rookies is)... I replied to your PM - hopefully it helps.

 

Mine is 05, 06+ have an interior config change so the cupholder would be different. I can check to see if the FX cup holder fits a 04 6MT center console, Marty has this year.

Thanks for the answers guys. I am not 100% sure on this but I think the 6MT sedans have the same cupholder config as the coupes, and I think 03-04 sedans consoles differ from 05-06. It's confusing to say the least!

I have a 1 liter Aquafina water bottle everywhere I go... it doesn’t fit the 03-04 AT insert very well (fits, but a little awkward)... it fits the 05 FX insert perfectly!!! AND you can still fit a 12oz type size. It’s what they should use in all the cars IMO.

Won't work on the 6mt. The console is much lower than the 5at console, plus orientation is shifted for the hand brake assembly. This is on an 03-04, not sure on 06+
