VDC Slip Can it be damaged???

Recently been stuck on ice and had to "rock" my car out... Anyhow Ive noticed that when I have the VDC OFF that I can still see the slip what is happening here?

Is this damaging the vehicle or is it normal... also how can you insure that the slip/vdc is even working correctly..?

Well no I had purposly turned my VDC to OFF... then when the car was letting me spin I could still see the slip light flashing from time to time, but no of the lights actually stayed on....

I just didnt know if I damaged my car by turing off the VDC and getting the SLIP light to still activate with VDC OFF... Anyways I dont know if its an electronic thing or something in the car that can be damaged.

I think the light just flashes to let you know there is slip...nothing more.

I've definitely seen the light go on while VDC is off, but the functions are still working while VDC is on so I figured it's normal. If there is a problem with the system I think the light will remain on all the time.

I think you need to check your brake fluid if your getting all those lights; at least that was what I had to do

As for the original post I was wondering the same thing with mine. I just choose not to acknowledge it anymore, I hope i'm not damaging anything

I've had them all come on and stay on after some drifting around. It should reset after turning the car off and letting it sit for a while. If not I agree, check your brake fluid, that is another very common way to turn on those three lights.

At least on the '07 sedan, it comes on because the wheels are spinning, whether VDC is on or not. It's normal, unless it stays on.

Oh I see so thats why when I turned it off I got the still got the SLIP light when I was spinning.

Anyhow another thing do the wipers stop a 1/4 inch from there actual resting spot if you are spraying washer fluid and dont pull the windsheild lever long enough?

Also I have noticed that sometimes when Im not getting a SLIP it seems like I am still "slipping" because I am not getting full power plus I hear that pulsing sound like the traction control is engaging.... is that the case considering you can still be slipping for a little bit and not get a slip light?

prolly possible i think the sensors can't pick up the wheelspin fast enough, so by the time they were to pick it up u have no more wheelspin and the light won't come on, thats what i'm feeling sometimes
