Arrow G37 Factory Buyback ?

Ok so I'm familiar with the G35 6mt rev-ups getting bought back by the factory, but today I stumbled upon a 2008 G37s being offered for sale as a factory buyback.

What the heck could happen in 8000 miles that wasn't operator fault/maintenance that would cause Infiniti to buy it back? I'm half tempted to throw an offer at them for it, but I just can't imagine what the problem would be on a new G37...

(I would just go test drive it, but it's a 2-3 hour drive from me, so I kind of want to dig up some dirt before I waste any time).

edit: ps - I did the searches on the g37 forums and here but couldn't seem to find anything.

Was considering a factory buyback when I got my G35. The dealer had the paperwork from Infiniti that said why it was bought back. Apparently it couldn't get fill the gas tank correctly. There's an SB that was performed to fix it, but it was bought back under the lemon law.

It was a pretty good deal. Only problem was my financing wouldn't allow for titles that had been bought back under lemon laws.

Suggest (maybe before you drive the 2-3 hrs each way) that you call the dealer and ask why it was bought back.

Thanks for the reply!

After I had posted that I did some digging around on the g37 forum and found that people have been seeing some problems with the 6mt tranny as well as the gas tank. I will shoot them an email today and see what they say concerning the buyback. I didn't know if they would know the who or the why, or whether they would be willing/able to divulge that.

Thanks again.

Well, if you know it is a buyback, and they won't/can't tell you why, I'd suggest you stay away from that dealer in general.
