Side View Mirrors? (Folding?)

I dont know why I didnt notice this or if this is not supposed to happen...
I've always know that our cars mirrors folds in... are they also made to fold backwards (the opposite way) w/o damage. Mine did and they seem to be fine didnt know if this was supposed to happen.

Also the radio in my car when I am listening to a station the lights go blank after a couple seconds... but playing cds it stays lit is that normal or is that not supoosed to happen?

Its only with the radio on... not the cd player. Also I can see the top part of the radio that says you listen to station 1,2,3... weird.

Mirrors can fold both ways, but some people have broken them doing it, so be careful.

For the radio, make sure you don't have RDS turned on. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_Data_System It could be that the station your listening to isn't broadcasting anything, so it shows blank text. Try listening to another top station to see if it displays the station name, song title, etc.

And yeah if the mirrors folds both ways, how can ppl break them if they are made to fold both ways?
Ok I think I do have the RDS turned on... I can still hear music playing from the station, but like you said blank text. I thought RDS was good, but you said it does not need to be on? What does it do anyways?

Well on the 05/06, you hold the DISP button for 5-10 seconds and it turns it on and off.
