Should I buy a 07 G35 or wait out a little for a 08 G35?

I contacted da mayor yester about a 08 G35 that I was most likely going to buy, but alas the car had already been sold. So the search continues, I've seen a lot of 07s with the color and options I want, so my ? to my fellow members is should I buy the 07 or just wait out a little for the right 08 to become available. btw its the sedan I'm interested in.

FYI, leasing a 09 G37 is an option, but I wanted to see how the market was first before I leased.

All comments welcome.

I spent about 2 mins wondering why the mayor of his city would care what car he bought?

da mayor is the s/n of a member that works at a dealer I think.

Unless you are saving quite a bit of money, I'd try to wait for a deal on a G37 sedan w/ the 7sp auto. IMHO, the hp and superior tranny is worth it.

I drove a 08 G35 hr35 powered sedan and it was pretty fast!

Thanx for the only intelligent response, and your correct "da mayor" is a member on here who works at a infiniti dealership.

As to saving money on the 08 G35, I see them selling for around $28K, unless I can get an incredible deal on the G37, then G35 it is.

Yeah, that sounds like a considerable discount, but why not shoot for an 07.

I mean, you'll save a bit on your insurance, and, as far as I know, there hasn't been any significant upgrade on the 08.

Heck, if you were looking for one earlier, I would have told you to get the 08 (massive discounts for a new car).

Personally, I'd look for either an 07 Prem, Nav, Tech or an 08 Prem, Nav

It depends on how much you care about mileage, I guess. There aren't any significant differences between the '07 and '08; I hear you get less voice commands for Nav, if that's important

My 07 sedan is for sale with every option, I'm not really actively trying, but if someone wants it for the payoff then I'm down. Payoff is around $28k. It's an 07 sport sedan, with premium, navigation and tech. The car has just under 12k miles so it's like a new car. I've had for almost 2 years but my office was only 4 blocks from home, and now I work from home so I don't drive that much. The sticker on the car new was over $42k.

the 7spd auto is definitely worth it if getting the auto, one thing i hate about my 08 is that 3rd and 4th are too long and you notice a lack of power when shifting
