Ticking noise.....Anyone ever have this problem?

Okay, so I have been sick the past couple days so my car has been sitting. I also live on a hill. That being said, I went to go get some lunch today so I can just get out of the house for a bit and I go to start my car, and I hear a valve ticking and white smoke come out of the exhaust. After a few seconds the noise goes away and the smoke was only a brief second. I have never had this issue before, but it has not sat on my hill for more than 24 hours before. Anyone think it is something to worry about? Or maybe just because it sat on a hill and the oil sat to teh front of the engine?

white smoke is usually blown head gasket if its constant, valve clicking should only be brief after startup if you let the car sit in a very cold weather

this is definitely the only time ive seen the white smoke. plus i checked the oil just to make sure no coolant was getting in. im thinkin sitting on a hill for a while may have caused it

Sounds like rings. You might have piston slap.
