I'm looking for a G under 20,000 and I'm having trouble deciding on which model.
I want the navi and Bose but I like the navi's before 2006. I personally like the 2005 but I need some help determining the differences between the '04,'05, and '06 models. Thanks ahead of time

 

You can search easily for differences.
06 has different front bumper, different spoiler, projector headlight, smart key, 3D tail light and bla bla...search!

Older model G35 can be upgraded to the newer version headlights, bumpers, tail lights, etc. I would go to the door jam and check the year.

 

I kinda like the older headlights better. So is the headlights, bumpers, and tail lights the only different thing?

 

what makes pre 06 Navi's so endearing to you?

 

I have a 05AT with the premium and also have the smart key. Just a FYI.

 

Pre-2006 G35's have the navi hidden right? I also heard it's not as complicated.

 

all of the G35 coupe's screen can be hidden. 05 and above are motorized. The interface is pretty much the same.

 

The navigation retracts into the dash on pre-2006 models right? Sorry I'm asking so many stupid questions. Just wanted to get some info from people who already own G35's before I buy.

Has nice info on the different years/models. Also, check out Edmunds.com. They usually tell you what's new in a particular year.

 

'06 sedans and '06-07 coupes also have the retracting NAVI screen.


Also, i beleive there was a software change in 2006 allowing some more features and the "birdview" view (which IMHO blows monkey *****)

All of them retracts into the dash. I believe 03-04 are spring loaded. 05+ are motorized.

 

Spring loaded? That seems a little cheap/flimsy

 

Let's say I found a G35 without the navi, could I get it done at an Infiniti dealership? How much would that run me?
