so my gf took the car, and went to get some gas and car wash.
this is what she told me. she forgot to close the gas cap. and took it into the touchless wash.... what should i do lol other than smack her? the car still starts fine and all.

i think there should be some sorta safety device that would block objects from getting into the tank? i mean for my subaru, there's a piece of metal that blocks the entrance, and it opens up when you push the pump in it?

 

Wow..i dont know to either laugh or feel bad. If it makes you feel any better, my brother was day dreaming one day and almost put diesel in my nissan xterra. Thank God I caught him on time!

I guess you can always take it back to the dealership mechanic and ask them.

 

haha im at the same spot man, dont know if i should be mad or laugh. i mean my g has been through so many problem that i dont even feel a thing any more. I just feel sorry for my gf cuz she was in a rush and she feels really bad about it.

I believe all modern cars have the metal safety... Thing... That you mentioned. I really doubt any water got in there, except for some soap on the outside. I think you'll be fine.
