When G35's were new and the car press was writing a lot about them, even my sedan got attention, but thankfully, that's now over. I remember that not long after I bought the car, some dude in an M3 pulled up on my left on the highway and was constantly gunning it and pulling back, clearly wanting to race. I saw a cop light bar silhouette behind me, so I was having none of it and driving at 65mph on the dot. The M3 guy then just guns it and pulls away real fast. In a split second, the cop turns on his lights, goes around me, and pulls the idiot over. Since he tied up the cop, I could now drive faster. I think that was my favorite car incident so far.

Nowdays, here in the SF Bay area, G35's are as common as Honda Civics, so I completely blend in and don't have to worry about these morons. Now, when I'm driving the Lotus, that gets an obnoxious amount of attention.

 

Three ****ty cars were driving faster than me and the cop decided to pull me over instead of the other guys. (We were following the cop who was also speeding)

Haha, here in Reno, NV, G35Cs are really rare... There are a few more sedans around, but Infinitis generally are rare.. The nearest Infiniti dealer is about 100 miles away in Sacramento =P

Bimmers on the other hand are a dime a dozen. People in their 3 series always think they're badass, and are always driving like *******s... I'm really against street racing; a friend of mine died doing it as he wrapped his car around a pole, but sometimes I just wanna show em what being eaten alive is like...

i guess i still fall under this category im 20 but don't try racing anyone unless they my homies then its just all fun n games hahah i did get two speeding tickets already but oddly enough never got it driving my G35c but i swear more than half the ppl i see driving a G are ppl ranging between the age of late 30's-50

 

Don't be hating on us "old" people. For most of us with age comes wisdom, and more skills in the sack. Why do you think you see many older men with younger hotties? We know what's up!!!

 

LOL! you've got that right, Blue Dream. I'm probably one of the oldest guys here in driver. I've had several drag cars in my earlier days and still enjoy performance cars. I could have bought most any car I wanted and I bought my G. I knew it wasn't the fastest, but it was the car of my dreams. I waited for the G37 to come out and was a bit disappointed when it did. So I bought a used G instead, I just luv this body style.

I'm thinking about going FI and even if I do, I still won't be racing anyone on the street. I just flash them a smile and the peace sign, then continue to cruise as I drift back into my own private world as I motor down the road in the car of my dreams!

 

Must be the areas then because I see a TON of 18-25 year olds driving around in 03-07 coupes. It almost seems like everyone and their mother has one here. Typically the newer models are driven by the older people simply because they have more money to spend on a $40K+ car vs an 18 year old buying a $15K older model.

To be honest, I initially wanted a coupe but got turned off by the fact that so many guys near my age or younger where I live had one. So i bought a sedan. Even at 28, i sometimes feel like an "old man" on the boards. A lot of people bought their sedans/coupes to modify and enjoy, I bought mine just as daily transportation and the only money i want to put into it is maintainence and keeping it pristine ....so the passion I have for the car is different than someone tossing $5K+ in mods at it.

I get so much hate from people because im 17 with a nice car.... Then i tell them how much i paid for it and thy **** themselves.

 

So let me get this straight. You're upset that people "hate" on you because you're young and drive a nice car, then you turn around and call beautiful, young women ******?!?!

Me thinks you need to grow up. It's this kind of attitude that is giving the young owners on here a bad rap.
