Too late to debadge??

Is it too late to debadge my OB '05 sedan? I was thinking that I'd like to remove the "I N F I N I T I" from the rear, as well as the "G35," but I am concerned that the paint underneath will be darker as it hasn't been exposed to four years of sun and weather.

If it is darker don't worry, it will fade in a few days.
Even on my 08 it was darker & it blended in no time

You can almost take them off with your fingernail.

I use floss with a little WD_40 as lubricant and "saw" the letters off. Then googone takes care of the rest

yup

i'd advise NOT to use a heatgun though cause its possible to wreck your paint if you arent careful with one of them

I used a hair dryer to heat up the letters, then slid some floss behind them to get them off. Then cleaned up the left over goo with 'Goo Gone'. Voila!

soak everything in WD40 or some kind of car bug/tar remover for about ten min. Then take off the letters. Then when the residue is left behind, soak that in the WD40 or bug/tar remover for an additional ten min. After that you will be able to "roll" off the rest of the adhesive.

Put masking tape over the marks that are left. No-one will noticed the fading then.

^ clean it and wax it well. Then let it sit out in the sun for a few days, don't keep it in a garage. The lighter area where the G35 was should fade away soon. You may still have an outline of the letters if you look closely. Over time everything will fade away.
