can someone tell me what the whole "JDM" thing is with g35s? ive only recently been getting into looking at doing some minor mods to my car and im seeing this everywhere. i know that nissan makes infiniti but why would people change their emblems to nissan skyline ones along with other stuff?

I think its more of a preference.

Infiniti G35 = Nissan Skyline 350GT. It doesn't matter which badge is on the car its still the same. Some people just like the original JDM and others like the correct USDM. And a select few go overboard.

I like the Skyline 350GT emblem and switching the Infiniti badge to Nissan but not much else really.

back in the day jdm ment to do all jdm performance parts and keep it looking at muchto the stock japanese verison of the car but now its bout how much japanese lookign stickers and crap you can get. it doesnt have to serve a purpose as long as it came from japan its cool
