G35i?
i know this thread is old, but someone today told me they saw a g35i too, i was like wtf i dont think they make those, weird that we have both heard that from people, think some people throw an "i" on for sh*ts after the g35? hahahah thatd be stuupid..
for the BMWs i thought the "L" in "iL" used to mean luxury edition.. someone i know who had a 740iL a while back told me thats what it stood for.. probably BS now that i think of it

Wouldn't doubt it. I've seen "Type-R" badges on toyotas, fords, and lexus so that would be no surprise. Heck just last week I saw a wrx with a "turbo" badge on it taken from a porsche
the "i" actually refers to gasoline fuel injected. A diesel model would be something like 320d, so no little "i" despite it being fuel injected.
dude thats just straight lame to put on extra badges unless you legitimately converted your car to have whatever badge you put (like the turbo badge).. and even then, why tell everyone? let them find out the hard way
They might have meant X. I could have swore I read about a g35i in a magazine or something a few years back (concept car mag). It stated that the i stood for intelligent drive or some **** letting the real wheels power the car, until slip was detected and the intelligent drive would send power to the slipping wheel. Or perhaps I've heard the damn lie so much, my brain just believed it.
That's a bit redundant don't you think? It's like putting a letter to indicate it has 4 tires.
I always thought the i on BMWs stood for 'inline' because they do inline 6 cylinder engines which are much harder to make from a technical standpoint than a v6.
A google revealed that it's for 'injection' though.

Some tards will put all kinds of stuff on their cars, remember the NISMO 350Z with all the badges/stickers or the IP G35C here in SoCal with all the Pep Boys additives and giant exhaust tips....poor sick tards?

On BMW's, i used to stand for fuel injection. At that time, the e models ie 318e was used to designate carbureted models. As mentioned earlier, d is used for diesel models, which of late are all common rail diesel injection...
Well at least that is telling the truth! Better on something with a turbo then a stock corolla!!
