car auctions?
I've read about some great deals people have got through these auctions. Does anyone know of any car auctions in So Cal? and how would you get into those I've heard they're private?
Thanks for the help.

You usually have to have a dealer's license to get into the car auctions. If you ask some of your friends, I'm sure you'll come across somebody that knows somebody that can take you.
I'm actually getting an 06 G35 coupe from an auction this week to replace my G that was totaled.
You definitely get a better deal because you're pretty much paying close to wholesale or whatever dealers pay for cars.
if you do find somebody that'll take you to the auction, most people I know charge $500 to $1000 on top of the price of the car for buying it for you.
Hope this helps.

ive been to a couple car auctions, big ones in ny, i think they are over rated unless ur just looking for a good deal for a car with no preference, cause most of the good cars get sold for a good amount, and usually big dealers buy them
I wanted to get a car from auction like seized car auctions. Yea its wasn't happening. regular auction dont have good cars. There are some pirvate auction for members but most of those are salvage auctions
Auctions are ok. before they use to have one off the 605 freeway off valley blvd, but it closed down recently it was called nationwide auction. i think the next closest nationwide auction is in fontana? and somewhere in the OC off the 5 i believe

I repoed cars before and taken the cars to the auctions. I have seen how the workers at auctions just dont take any pride in thier work, drifiting them, brake checking. You name it they done it.
buying straight from the auction doesnt give you the satsifaction that the car has been fully inspected. plus you cant get gap insurance from the auction.

i work a a car auction in registration. yes we may take a cr and drive it hard when we go to park it but that may be what 30 seconds? im sure there will be worse things done to a car on the road than what can be done at an auction.
