What kind of mod is that?

You should get a .22 semi automatic and play play russian roulette. With a 14 round clip, you have much better odd than with a 8 round revolver.

Yes.... in LA two G's parked in front of a home with 22" rims! They looked like FX's. Also have seen my share of bright orange, candy apple red or electric blue ones with extremely shiney gold, 20" rims, whale fin spoilers and other what-nots. So, it seems tacky and ricey are hardly limited to the domain of the Hondas, Evo's or little Nissans! There are enough G's, around (like there are guys who foolishly race in town) who devalue the car (and our collective maturity) thru cheap, impractical, unnecessary "someone please notice me" mods
One can easily measure electromagnetic output decreases following proper or increased grounding; however, my understanding of the grounding kit is that it's only real effects center on on decreasing or eliminating static electricity or electromagnetic waves-- the kind that interfere with the quality of your sound system. Most other improvements attributed to the kit may be the placebo effect. The science behind the purported other improvements (better shifting, increased power, more stability in electrical system, etc.) is far too shakey to draw a conclusion.
I agree with my dad who posted awhile back that: "the grounding kit may be the G's version of the Tornado fuel saver gas devices (and the hemi head on some engines) which millions bought... millions swore by... thousands of mechanics smilingly installed (b/c they too believed the marketing) because it made sense.... and in the end, after it was shown to be a useless add-on, millions continue to purchase?
Essentially, the grounding kit may be smoke and mirrors! Other may argue and point to a dyno test or some other measure; however, there's no evidence that the current grounding system is ineffective or that the grounding kit is a REAL improvement on it. Just my thoughts.

135 in a 35 MPH zone. That is completely irresponsible and idiotic. This is the kind of thing that pisses me off and gives all of the responsible G owners a black eye. Do you have an insecurity issue? Does doing this make you feel cool? Were you drinking or smoking?

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
Even so, this is still not a smart thing to do. What if you had a blowout and hit one of those 2 cars head on at 135 MPH? You'd be dead and so would everybody that was in the other car. Imagine what your family, friends, their family/families, and friends would have to live through.
Late to school is not an excuse for endangering lives, period.
Enjoy your car, just don't be stupid in it. I'm sure you're a good guy. Trust me I did stupid sheit when I was younger and I am not a bad guy, just immature at the time. But I grew up and learned from my mistakes.
You can do the same.
Peace.....

UCLA undergrad student! Saw the cars in the Montebello/East LA Area.
By the number's the evo's approx 300hp from the new high-performance 2.0-liter turbocharged MIVEC engine is quicker, and the car is lighter than most stock G's. It's basically 1 step above a rally car, weighs less than the G, is built purely for speed/power/cornering-- like the Lotus, the Vishnu Evo can hit a 4.6 second 0-60: the G is not known to do this--- even modded, we might hit 5.0 seconds!

yeah proly a blow off valve. how do you know it was heavily modded, or did you just assumed it was bcus of the whistling sound?
btw,ppl with blow off valves are the ricers of evo and sti worlds bcus it can release the air thats gonna go back to the engine and your engine runs lean for a split second and it is proven that your stock bypass valve can hold enough boost up to 20-25psi. thats on a subaru tho, im not so sure on the evo's.
