Overlays....several choices.

I watched a guy at my tint shop do a vinyl overlay on a '10 Mustang a few weeks ago. There's no reason is shouldn't last for years if it's done right!

The difference is one is paint and the other is a big sticker that your calling a mod

Sorry but all the time I see people with it and other people will walk up and say "wow you painted your roof?........wait is this a just a big sticker....... oh ok"

no offense to whoever's car this is, but look at the horrible reflection this overlay gives you.

talk to me when an overlay's reflection is as clear as paint's.

If you are sure you want a black roof I would paint it. Will come out looking much better.

I vote for paint. Do it right or don't do it at all. I've never seen an overlay that wasn't immediately obvious that it was vinyl; they just don't have the shine and smoothness of paint and it looks like crap.

I would honestly say get it painted. I have had an overlay for about 8 months now and am wanting to get it painted. Overlay isnt looking too good anymore. It looks great from far away but up close its not so hot.

You sure that's overlay kind of look like it's spray painted?

I believe that's a picture from Bluebat's overlay website, or at least one of his posts when the roof overlay first came out.
