Should i get a Roof Overlay? Or paint my roof black??

I wanted to get it painted black because i heard its better to get it painted, then i thought about it and i realized that i would save lots of money if i get the roof overlay.

I want to get this done asap. If i choose to get the roof overlay, i will be contacting Bluebat, so please let me know what you guys think is best way to do this.

Thank you all!!

I say get the overlay. I thought I really really wanted a black roof. Luckily somebody close to me had some overlays. I put them on and a day later I took it off. I didn't like the look of it. It ended up costing me only 50 bucks to test it out. And it came off with no problem. If you paint the roof black its a lot harder to go back. But if you go overlay first if you really really like it, you can paint it after your sure. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah paint would look 10x better. But unless your 100% sure. Its a costly mistake lol. Oh and nothing against BlueBat but I felt the overlay wasn't black enough for me. The tint in my sunroof looked darker then the overlay.

I was debating those two options and I decided to go with the overlay. It's costing me $100 at a good shop, versus $350 for paint at another shop. Paint doesn't look that much better, in fact, it's hard to tell the difference sometimes if the vinyl is clean. Also, you do have to consider that paint takes longer to do and is more permanent. If you're in socal let me know if you want the name and address of the shop I'm going to.

What's the name and address of the shop you're going to?

Also, post pics when you have it done!

I'm just really confused at this point. I dont know what to do. My tint on my sunroof is very dark and looks nice and i do not want the overlay to be a different colour black. As in i dont want it to be different from the tint on the sunroof.

I need more suggestions please!! Please help me!!

I just don't know what to do at this point.. If i do order it, im located in Toronto, Ontario. So how long will it take to arrive at my house?

I say go with the Overlay. As long as you have it installed by a professional, you'll be good to go.

its very simple really...

paint = permanent nicer, more expensive

overlay = not permanent , less nice, less expensive, need to take better care of.

u decide.
