A question for the G's

hey guys,
i have been a member here for a little while now and decided i should introduce myself and ask you guys a little question. I drive a infiniti i30 right now, which is a nice car but i need something with a little more power. So im looking for cars right now and i cant decide between the g35 sedan and the acura TL. Now i know this is a G35 forum but i really cant decide. I love how i can get 350z parts for the G and i love the reliability of Honda products.

So, what do you guys like more about your g35 sedan over the TL? did any of you concider one when you were shopping? what made you get the G?

And i will definetly test drive both cars but im sure i will buy the G bcus i love the vq motor and the torque.

Yes it is. Good point and I'm really not worried about snow, I can't just stay home on snow days.
So other than the being rwd and awd what else make you love it and make you look forward to drive it everyday?

I love the TL's. If we're talking about a 4 doors, I rather have the TL, but that's my opinion. Both cars are nice in and out, and both have decent power. Me, I would go with the look of the TL over the G sedan, but would take a G coupe or a M over the TL.

I agree, i am also open to the G coupes and if i can find a coupe in good condition i will definetly get a coupe but for my budget i can get a newer g sedan with a lot less miles.

Yes the TL looks more elgant and what not but a G sedan looks awsome with some simple mods like the black roof, blacked out headlights, tint and a drop.

The only thing I do not like about the TL is the FWD... other than FWD and is inheret under steer.. its a GREAT car! The Nav on the TLs are worlds ahead compared to the nav in the 1st gen G's.

yeah, the inerior of the TL looks better but the G's interior is pretty nice too. And i think it will be nice to drive a RWD car for a change than driving another FWD car.

i agree with the RWD having the break loose factor. but the responsiveness and power from the G is what separates them from the rest. you wont be disappointed.

I have an'04 Tl that is my wife's car and an '05 G coupe. I agree with everything that has been said above except the build quality. While the TL has a very attractive dash, it seems cheapy. Ours also has a lot of issues with rattles. The driving experience is different too(keep in mind I'm comparing a coupe to a sedan but, the TL feels soft, loose, and comfy compared to the tight and responsive G. I've read many comments on the TL forum that the owners biggest problem with the TL is that it wasn't built in Japan(referring to build quality)

My $0.02

^^ yes i actually read that on the forum. I think its called acurazine.. some of them were saying next time they will get a G bcus of all the rattles they have with the TL and i remember saying to myself " haha they dont know the G has the same problem".

I think it look like G35 sedan or coupe is the car for me unless ofcourse i run into a WRX in a good condition.

there is 50 times more mods for the g than the acura, just my 2 cents if you plan to mod.

This shouldn't be a question. You're already in the infiniti family why not keep it going?

Dig the black roof too, I love i30s.
