I can't get MP3 CD's to play for the life of me...

I'm using TDK CD's...burning using Nero.

What do you guys use to burn? Are there any settings or something that I'm missing? This is driving me nuts. I'm ready to pull this factory piece of **** Bose HU out and put in an aftermarket one but I just hate the look of aftermarket stereos.

You must burn as a Data cd, and just dump mp3s on there, maybe you are burning it as an audio cd?

I use TDK and Nero and mine plays just fine. Are you closing the session when you burn? I had issues like this before in a different car and it was because I was leaving the session open when I was burning. Silly mistake, but it happens.

Closed Session data CD with MP3s in Individual folders (18 - 22 songs) at 192 KBPS max. Use a converter to convert all MP3s that are above the 192 KBPS.

So basically you're going to have a CD that has multiple folders that allows the data trees to be utilized. Don't dump all your songs onto one CD.

my stock stereo (03 C) was playing burnt cds for a little while, then the whole f in thing locked up, wouldnt play the radio or anything. someone told me that the 1st gen, even the 350s that the stereo would take sh** if you put burnt cds in it. well thats what mine did so i went with an aftermarket DD pioneer. problem solved

You have to burn as data,
Burn the cd as if you were just backing up files
Just dump all the folders (albums) into a burn folder (mac) then click burn...
